A collaborative Doula service that provides women the care and support they need/want prenatally, birthing, and postpartum. This support is offered to women across all demographics, ethnicities, and socio-economic status. Amma doulaship is specifically prioritizing individuals who live with the impacts of trauma or in marginalized communities, peoples or environments.

I am originally from a small farming town in Southern Alberta, and have lived in the Fraser Valley for five years. After pursuing a college degree in art and music, I realized I was passionate about wellness of being and existing, and this led me into the world of holistic health in 2021.  After working for a company that specialized in holistic health and herbal medicine, and eventually working in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver at a rehabilitation Centre for women with babies/children, I very naturally transitioned into the world of doula care.

I graduated from Pacific Rim College in the Holistic Doula Program in spring of 2024, which is a unique 270-hour program that prepares students to work as Prenatal, Birth, and Postpartum Doulas. Here I studied Herbal Medicine and Holistic Nutrition for pregnancy and postpartum, Anatomy and Physiology, and Acupressure and Yoga Therapy. This is the most comprehensive Doula program offered in North America, and I am grateful to offer this high level of training and education to the Vancouver community.

I love cultivating creativity; sewing, cooking and journaling in my spare time. I love a warm hug from a friend, a walk in the rain, and a hot cup of nettle tea, among other things. I strive to live simply and carefully, noticing the beauty that surrounds me at every moment in British Columbia. I have a true passion for community based care and holistic methods of healing.

My Commitment

I commit to empower women in their knowledge of body and self, offering non-judgmental professional support during emotional seasons of life. I am deeply committed to empowering health and wellness of being and existing, prioritizing individuals and communities who live with the impacts of trauma.

I commit to uplift and empower prenatal, birthing and postpartum women; I commit to provide continuity of care throughout these seasons. I commit to creating and upholding safe and welcoming spaces either through words, actions or physical.

“Experiences have clearly shown that an approach which ‘de-medicalizes’ birth, restores dignity and humanity to the process of childbirth, and returns control to the mother is also the safest approach.”
- Michel Odent, MD

I am here to support you in preparing body, mind and soul for what is to come, and to be a grounded presence on this journey from conception to pregnancy, birth to new motherhood.
